Apple Dijon Sauerkraut Brats


Beer Cheese Brat


Ingredients (Yield 5)

  • 1 package of Johnsonville Bratwursts of your choice

  • 1 package Aunt Millie's Whole Grain Mini Sub Buns

  • 2 tart green apples, such as Granny Smith, peeled and cut into cubes

  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 c. drained sauerkraut

  • 1/2 c. chicken stock

  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard


Cook bratwursts according to package directions.

Heat a medium skillet over medium heat, and sauté the onion and apple for about 5 minutes.

Add the sauerkraut, Dijon mustard, and chicken stock to the pan.

Simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated.

Put a brat in each bun, and top with the sauerkraut mixture.
